06/13/26 I just installed my Freedom Blade. It took me most of the day, but it was wroth it. The only thing I got hung up on was firguring out which fuse to link it into. After that it was pretty easy. tested everything before zip tighting up and away. I did take the tailgate off and dropped the spare tire. That made so much easier to mount the Freedom Blade box. Mine was mount above the spare tire.
I can’t wait to get and install it. I did install the air bags and the wireless compressor. Your videos are great. I have a 2019 GMC AT4
This is the best led tailgate in the market. The plug and play connection enables you to use the light bar while having a tow package/app with no issue. The install is straight forward.
Product works as advertised. It simplifies the selection of each functionality.
I waited for several weeks for this specific LED light but it was well worth the wait. It’s absolutely amazing and has great features. I set the “Night Rider” startup sequence, following sequence turn signals, and three flash break lights. The best this is I can use my remote and change them to any sequence I like at any time.

So far its working great. I just had it installed on 10/25/24.
Love the programmable options for startup, braking, and turn signals.
Generally easy to install. The biggest challenge was installing spacers behind the mounting clips to keep the light bar from having a “hump” due to the horizontal stabilizer bracket bolts along the rail below the tailgate.
Encountered a small problem in getting the remote programming unit to work. “Will” in customer support was very helpful in getting it resolved. Very happy with this product.
Bought this light for 2022 Silverado installation very easy hooked up. Wow just one amazing piece of equipment.
If you wire the ignition relay correctly*** as the first step! you will save yourself lots of troubleshooting. My taillamp turned off because I had a bad connection and start-up sequence was not working too ( I would recommend to test it). Otherwise a fantastic light bar!, upgraded from the original Blade and it was worth it imo.
I purchased the Freedom Blade tail light bar and remote for my husband’s 2019 Chevy Silverado. Not only was he super happy but once installed by S&R I was super surprised of the quality all the features and super bright reverse lighting. He said this was one of the best birthday gifts ever. Thanks Putco you guys really put this product together. Worth every dollar and package was superb.
Once all the correct parts were received and installation directions were clarified, the Freedom Blade was installed and works as described but your instructions need to be adjusted when installing on a Ford Maverick Hybrid. Additionally I received no intructions for the programable wireless remote and the colored wires did not connect to the same colored wired on the blade module which seemed a little convoluted.
Installed the freedom blade on my 2021 F 150. Install was easy. Most difficult part was getting the bar exactly where it needed to be for tailgate clearance in the down position. If you also install the remote control with the bar, make a splitter (Y shape) wire to run power to both the bar and remote box from the wire ran from the fuse box. Install is easier if you remove the spare tire to route all the wiring at the back of the bed.
