B E S T overland rack ever…. 10/10
i had it for 3 years and still looks and works like its new. Now i am moving it to my 2025 Silverado
Hardware is good. Washers undersized. 3 hr install that would be a 30min install if you only take time to write good instructions. Parts list is useless. Few instructions give call parts with pictures by different names than parts list making it impossible to verify. Trial and error installation due to poor instructions. Otherwise for materials and looks I’d given a 5 star.
I think this rack is the nicest that is offered for the Santa Cruz. However, at this price point, an extra crossbar should be included. Other vehicle venture tec racks are made with two U-bars. Since this only has one in the back, there’s not two horizontal bars included in this rack. Installation was a pain, and the instructions leave out a few steps. However, overall it was easy to figure out from pictures I found online.
Installed and works with peragon not sure why it’s listed in the not compatible area.
Just installed my new venture tec rack and I love it! – I wanted to get a sturdy rack without removing my Truxedo sentry tonneau cover. This is absolutely stunning and solid! I was worried at first as it’s not as known as other overlanding racks however, it’s so worth the price. Other racks that allow most tonneau covers doesn’t seem as solid as this one. Some of the holes didn’t measure up exactly but extruded aluminum makes it easy to correct. Definitely recommend highly! I fit it to my 2019 Ram Rebel Quad Cab.
