The all-new Putco Venture Tec Quick Rack is the most versatile mid-height cross bar truck rack. The venture tec quick rack comes with a dual t-slot channel tec side rails along with dual t-slot channel cross rails. The Venture Tec dual t-slot rail design allows you to mount tons of rack accessories to the system. The adjustable and removable uprights and cross bar rails can you used however you need them. Featuring an easy no drill, bolt on installation into your pickup truck’s stake pocket holes. The tec side rails also have tie-down ends built in. The ultimate rack system for work or play.
The tec cross rails are 9 inches above the side rails giving you about 13″ above your cargo box. The Venture Tec Quick racks is great for bike racks, boards, kayaks, and more. Since the Venture Tec quick rack elevated cross bar rails are above the tec side rails by 9 inches, it works with the most common inside of the bed rail mounted tonneau cover. This system will also work with the Boss Headache Racks plus the tec and cross rails work with all the Putco blade led lights for extra visibility.

Tonneau Compatibility
This venture tec quick truck rack works with the Boss Headache Rack, most rack accessories from Yakima, Thule, Quick Fist and Yakima along with following tonneau covers. This venture tec quick mid-height cross bar rack fits tonneaus that mount to the inside rail of the truck bed and do not interfere with the stake pocket holes, which is where the rack mounts to. Here is a list by brand of tonneau cover, which tonneau’s work with the rack and do not interfere with use of tonneau, which tonneau’s with fit with rack but limit use of the tonneau and which tonneau’s do NOT work with this rack.

The track is awesome – easy to install, flexible and strong. My only complaint is Putco hasn’t published the size of fastener that will work with the double t-slot system. I used the assembly hardware and a micrometer to figure it out.

This is the coolest rack ever. I am a contractor who also likes the outdoor rec. Gear for storing my gear and looks ba too.

Overall very good quality. (2 bolts had misshapen heads and customer service sending me replacement). Side rails fit perfectly on my F150, just takes some time to maneuver the rear stake posts. I did not give a five star rating: no assembly instructions available for cross bars (called tech to walk me thru) and cannot find aftermarket mfg for rack stops (Thule, Rino, etc do not fit) to add to crossbars. Wish Putco made their own. Overall looks great assembled and holds two kayaks easily. The low design also prevents wind drag and noise on the empty rack – big benefit on highway driving. Overall happy with product.

ANo, since the Carbon Pro bed does not have holes on the interior to where the anchor bolt goes to secure this system down and drilling the bed will cause rigidity issues we do not suggest installing any of our bed rail products.
Do you make a taller riser bars? I really like the style of this rack but I need I taller to accommodate my rooftop tent and enclosed annex room that hangs down to the ground.

AWe do not offer taller elevated cross rails. However, we do have a product for the application you're going for. We offer the full venture tec rack (not the venture tec quick rack) and you can get the elevated cross rails and that allows you to mount the tent much higher.
I have a Leer HF650M Quad fold Tonneau. I know that the cross rails need to be removed for function but will the lip seal that overlays the side of the bed work with the stake pocket mounts? The lip seal overlaps the bed edge by by 0.5".

AIt sounds like the stake pockets will not be intruded at all so the tonneau lip seal should work as normal.

A1) Our rack has the best-in-class capacity as it can handle up to 1,000lbs. Just always double-check the capacity of the accessory or tent that you will be using as typically is less than our rack.
2) It will work with the OEM tonneau soft cover or any other bed cover that does not cover the stake pocket holes!
