    Installation Information for Putco Build Your Own Jeep Wrangler Off-Road Lighting Kit

    General Installation Guidelines

    • Tools Required: Basic hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, and possibly a drill (for the grille installation only)
    • Installation Time: Varies by kit component but generally 1-3 hours.
    • Skill Level: Beginner to intermediate DIY skills.

    Hood Mounting LED Light Bar

    1. Prepare the Area: Clean the hood area where the brackets will be mounted.
    2. Install Hood Mount Brackets: Secure the stainless steel brackets using the existing hood bolts. No drilling is required.
    3. Attach Light Bar: Mount the 20″ Luminix LED Light Bar to the brackets using the provided hardware.
    4. Wiring: Route the wiring harness to the battery and connect it, ensuring all connections are secure and insulated.
    5. Test: Turn on the light bar to ensure it is functioning correctly.

    License Plate Frame with LED Light Bar

    1. Remove License Plate: If already installed, remove the existing license plate.
    2. Mount License Plate Bracket: Attach the bracket to the existing holes on the license plate. No drilling is required.
    3. Attach Light Bar: Secure the 10″ Luminix LED Light Bar to the bracket.
    4. Wiring: Connect the wiring harness to the vehicle’s electrical system, typically by tapping into the existing license plate light wires.
    5. Test: Ensure the light bar functions correctly.

    Roof Mounted LED Light Bar

    1. Install Roof Mount Brackets: Attach the custom brackets above the windshield using the existing mounting points. No drilling is required.
    2. Mount Light Bar: Secure the 50″ Luminix LED Light Bar to the brackets using the provided hardware.
    3. Wiring: Route the wiring through the windshield frame and connect to the battery.
    4. Test: Turn on the light bar to ensure proper functionality.

    Windshield Mounted LED Light Bar

    1. Install Windshield Brackets: Attach the custom brackets below the windshield using the existing mounting points—no drilling required.
    2. Mount Block Lamps: Secure the two 4″ Luminix Block Lamps to the brackets.
    3. Wiring: Route the wiring harness through the firewall to the battery.
    4. Test: Ensure both block lamps function correctly.

    Tailgate LED Light Bar

    1. Clean Tailgate Area: Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free from debris.
    2. Mount Light Bars: Attach the pair of 18″ LED Tailgate Light Bars using the provided adhesive strips or mounting hardware.
    3. Connect Wiring: Plug the harness into the tail light connections. The kit is plug-and-play, so no cutting or splicing is required.
    4. Test: Ensure all light functions (running, brake, reverse, hazard, and turn signals) are working correctly.

    Full Replacement Grille with LED Light Bar

    1. Remove OEM Grille: Carefully remove the existing grille from your Jeep.
    2. Cutting Required: Using appropriate tools, cut out sections of the OEM grille to fit the new LED grille.
    3. Install New Grille: Secure the Boss LED Grille using the provided hardware and mounting points.
    4. Mount Light Bar: Attach the integrated Luminix LED Light Bar to the grille.
    5. Wiring: Connect the light bar to the vehicle’s electrical system.
    6. Test: Ensure the light bar and grille are securely installed and functional.

    Dual Color LED Replacement Bulbs

    1. Preparation:  Park on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    2. Access Fog Light Housing: Remove any necessary access panels or splash guards.
    3. Remove Old Bulbs: Disconnect the wiring harness and remove old bulbs.
    4. Install Nitro 360 LED Bulbs: Insert the new bulbs and reconnect the wiring harness.
    5. Test the Lights: Reconnect the battery, turn on the og lights, and cycle through the color settings.
    6. Reassemble: Reattach the access panels and splash guards.

    • Alignment: Adjust all light bars for optimal alignment and coverage.
    • Secure Wiring: Ensure all wiring is secured and does not interfere with any moving parts.
    • Functional Test: Verify that all lights are operating correctly.
