The tech cross rails are 9 inches above the side rails, providing approximately 3 inches of clearance above your cargo box. Since the Venture TEC Quick Rack elevated cross bar rails are 9 inches higher than the TEC Rails, they are compatible with the most common inside-of-the-bed rail-mounted tonneau covers. This system will also work with the Boss Headache Racks. Additionally, the tech and cross rails are compatible with all Putco Blade LED Light Bars for extra visibility.
California Residents: Proposition 65 Warning
The track is awesome – easy to install, flexible and strong. My only complaint is Putco hasn’t published the size of fastener that will work with the double t-slot system. I used the assembly hardware and a micrometer to figure it out.
This is the coolest rack ever. I am a contractor who also likes the outdoor rec. Gear for storing my gear and looks ba too.
Overall very good quality. (2 bolts had misshapen heads and customer service sending me replacement). Side rails fit perfectly on my F150, just takes some time to maneuver the rear stake posts. I did not give a five star rating: no assembly instructions available for cross bars (called tech to walk me thru) and cannot find aftermarket mfg for rack stops (Thule, Rino, etc do not fit) to add to crossbars. Wish Putco made their own. Overall looks great assembled and holds two kayaks easily. The low design also prevents wind drag and noise on the empty rack – big benefit on highway driving. Overall happy with product.
