The 18″ pair is great for Jeep Wrangler & 19+ Ram Trucks along with towing mud flaps. The 18″ led tailgate light pair must be used on the Jeep Wrangler & the 2019+ Ram Truck. The other sizes will not fit.

Bought this to fit my 1950 Chevy 1500 Series pickup. I have 50 inches to work with under the tailgate and needed both a reverse light and additional taillights that could be seen easily. We rigged this up to see it in all it’s glory while it was still in the box and this bar is BRIGHT! Definitely shouldn’t have a problem being seen with this light bar. Thank you!
Great addition – The media could not be loaded. Tapped into 7 pin connector but had to use the factory reverse light to tap into for that

Extremely bright reverse light. – The media could not be loaded. I love my new truck tailgate led light bar! I live in a rural area, and it gets very dark at night. This light bar really helps me a lot. definitely be putting this light bar on every truck I buy in the future!!

Sharp product from the best in the business. – Works like a charm once hard wired in. Has some complexities being installed on some Ford trucks like mine but they are overcomeable.
works with lane assist and trailer safety features in upper class models – purchased another model led light bar absolute junk caused hyper flash , dash faults and shutoff lane assist and trailer features. Putco has done their homework great product no problems.

Look no further, this is the one you want! – Putco Blade definitely stands up to its name, literally looks like a lightsaber! Very bright, and installation is easy just plug to your trailer socket and done. You will have to wire the reverse light wire to the reverse wire of the trailer socket, product comes with t-taps so no splicing required. Comes with everything you need to install. Also, a huge plus because you can either stick it permanently to the bed or use the brackets which enables you to remove the blade if needed, to have access to your spare tire if you have one. Reverse light is bright as well, highly recommend!
2020 Ram 1500 mounting issues – If you have a 2020 or later Ram 1500 that has the plastic bumper apron, you will have to use standoffs to mount the light bar. There are irregularities in the plastic apron that will not allow you to mount the light bar flat against it, so you have to add four 1/2 inch standoffs to the brackets that Putco supplies you with. However, the fitment is very tight and you have literally only 1 position that will work. If you are too high or too far out the tailgate will hit it. If you are too low you cannot see the lightbar. Putco does a POOR job of showing you this, because, as I suspect, it is very difficult to do. They show you mounting it directly the the bed steel frame and DO NOT show the plastic apron problem. However, once mounted it looks great and was worth the effort.
Awesome looking once installed!!!! – These cost a bit more but the finish look and build seems worth it. I put it on my 2017 f150 with trailer sensing and rear sensors. Took me about an hour and a half. If you watch the Putco video and follows the instructions it goes pretty easy. Only problem I ran into at all was, one of the wire clips cut the wire in half and never made good contact. Which was my fault for hurrying and not checking before I crimped the clip. Otherwise went smooth and looks great! I only hope they last now that they are on
Outstanding addition to my truck! – I had it professionally installed (with permanent wiring) by my local Best Buy guys. Took them about an hour. It’s perfect! All the lights are bright and the colors are vibrant. Works perfectly and really makes a statement. I have received numerous compliments. I put it on my Tuxedo Black 2014 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.0 with 5.5′ bed.
Great light, just need special kit for Multifunction Tailgate owners. – Special note for 5th Gen Ram 1500 owners with MFT:Not the fault of Putco, but it should be noted that special modifications are needed with the multifunction tailgates.The problem: There is not a flat enough surface to mount the light to.Easiest solution: I used 4- 3/8†rubber stock spacers to mount behind the supplied 4-mounting clips.The spacers provided clearance over the small plastic bump-outs that make it impossible to directly mount the light. Even with this solution, placement has to be perfect, otherwise it will crush the light when the tailgate is opened.Overall very happy the the light… the work-around solution only added a few seconds to the install.Recommend Putco provide a spacer kit.
Best light bar on the road – This looks awesome. Other light bars dont look as good because you can distinguish the individual led bulbs even from a distance. This one the lights are very close together but at a minimal distance, they blend together. The reverse light does an excellent job of lighting up the area behind you, but I notice it more in parking lots, it really alerts others. The instructions tell you to wire it using the included 4-flat connector as well as splicing into the reverse wire from the 7-round connector. I didn’t want to have the plug visible nor did I want the 4-flat unusable for trailering. So I just spliced every wire from the back side of the 7-round adapter.
2015 F-150 with BLIS & Trailer Detection Install – Absolutely the Best! PUTCO has set itself apart from the competition. These are the brightest leds on the market. They really look like a blade in operation. PUTCO has corrected the BLIS and trailer detection error on the 15-18 F150s. You can now hard wire straight into the 7 pin trialer connection. Also, it comes with a 3 year warranty. Install took about an 1 1-2hrs.
Bright and Brilliant – I installed this Putco 92009-60 Tailgate Blade Light Bar onto my 2017 Ram Laramie. Like most pickups, my Ram has an access hole just below the tailgate. That hole is used to insert a crank to lower the spare tire. On the blade light bar, Putco provides plastic mounting clips. The clips can be mounted using the supplied 3M 2-sided tape. Or you can choose to use some machine bolts to do the mount (bolts and nuts not provided). In the event of a flat tire, simply pop the light bar out of the two mounts on the right side. That allows you to push the light bar down far enough to allow access for the crank. It’s a pretty clever way to do it. As far as the installation process, I highly recommend that you go to YouTube and watch the video. It is produced by Putco and features ‘Putco Pat’. He walks you through the entire process. The professionally made video is extremely informative and I am confident it helped me with my installation. I would offer that in the video, they have removed the spare tire. Clearly that would make the installation faster. As it was, I think it took me 90 minutes from start to finish. Now that I have done it once I think I could do it a second time in about half that. Once installed, the light bar worked perfectly. The left and right turn are amber. Running and brake lights are red. I was surprised that the emergency flashers were both red (obviously working off of the brake lights and not the turn indicators). I was okay with that. I will say that I used a Putco Quick Connect harness. That made the installation much, much easier. If you have some extra bucks, that item is totally worth it. It offers you a clean, no hassle and no splicing option. I finished my installation after sunset. I was confirming that all of the lights working when several neighbors came over to check it out. They were all very impressed. Honestly, these lights are bright and brilliant. The backup light is the most impressive. Man does it absolutely turn night into day when you are backing up. My only complaint is a minor one. They could have supplied the nut and bolt hardware in the box. That might have cost them perhaps 50 cents. I would have used them. I just didn’t want to make a trip to the hardware store. I was too excited to get the light bar installed. Having said that, I say to you: Grab a Putco Blade Light Bar. You won’t be disappointed!
Easy install on 2018 Chevy Silverado, looks GREAT – 2018 Silverado LT – Maybe one of the nicest looking, simple upgrades you can do. Clean the surface well, use the pre-treatment and the mounts will stick amazingly well. Just center the Blade and align seam on the center with the hole that the tailgate wire comes thru at center. Check vertical alignment by eye. Watch the great youtube installation videos for this, CJ Pony Parts has a great one. Use the easy 4-pin connector for brakes, driving and turn signals – then tap into the center wire on 7pin connector for reverse, again just watch youtube and you’ll be an expert. Silverado is a white/green wire, use the included tap. Tape the bundle back up after. This Putco Blade is crazy bright, and I think greatly improves overall safety, you can’t miss the brake or turn lights day or night. If you are considering this, just do it already, it’s not difficult.

Just wow. – Just had one of these 48″ LED light blades installed below the tailgate on my new Chevy pickup and it looks great. This one is twice as nice as what I had on my old truck, very bright and the quality just stands out. This light blade can come with either a red or yellow turn signal. It was worth the extra buck or two IMO. I would buy it again.
